Bellamy Young

Young began her acting profession as an actor in the theatre. She made her Broadway debut in 1997 when she played Mary as the lead actress of The Life. In addition, she performed off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) in addition to as the role of Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995-96). Her first appearance on television in the year 1995. She had a recurring part as Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap drama Another World. She appeared in Law & Order as a guest star in two roles in 1997 and in 1998. The year 1999 saw her film debut with a small character in the crime-drama Black and White and later was a co-star in a number of independent films. In the early 2000s she began guest-starring roles on a number of TV comedies and dramas, such as The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Between 2000 and 2011, Young played in more than 30 TV programs. Young was a regular cast member in the USA Network series Peacemakers in 2003. After the show ran for nine episodes in a season, the series was cancelled. The actress played recurring roles on the Lifetime legal drama series For the People as Deputy Dist. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami in 2005 through 2006 as well as Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family.
